Background:
Although I have a solid academic grounding in science, I have spent most of my career in the health and social care sectors. Between 1988 and 2002, I was employed as a senior research officer for the disability charity Outset - Action on Disability, undertaking qualititative research for a wide range of health and social care agencies nationwide. In 2002, I set up my own consultancy agency TriNova, providing research, evaluation, editorial and indexing services to over 100 clients across the UK over the last decade. I have authored over forty publications, including ten guidance handbooks with national scope and thirty reports with regional or local perspective.
My experience in the publishing industry has primarily been as a commissioning editor for a mental health journal since 2005, a part-time post that I still hold. My indexing work has focused predominantly on the health and social care sectors, with a particular interest in the mental health field, however I am very keen to widen my work to other areas.
